Valcor Australia, a small to medium size company based in Ballarat, designs and manufactures special cutting tools and distributes standard metal cutting tools and associated products.

The company designs and manufactures products to improve manufacturing efficiencies and productivity and to reduce costs, which consequently helps to protect and improve the environment. This is achieved by the reduced consumption of energy, raw materials and reduced waste materials.

Valcor Australia is also committed to providing and maintaining an effective Environmental Management System designed to assist in the protection of the health of the community and the environment from the potential impacts of its activities, products, and services; and to assist in maintaining and improving the quality of the environment. This system is designed and structured to operate in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Management Systems Standard ISO 14001.

Continual improvement and the prevention of pollution are the cornerstones of our Environment Management System. Environmental issues or aspects shall be identified and their potential impacts determined. Action plans and targeted outcomes necessary to address the potential impacts shall be formulated and put into place.

The process of identifying significant potential environmental aspects shall give due regard to:

• Emissions to air
• Releases to water
• Waste management
• Contamination of land
• Use of raw materials and natural resources
• Other local environmental and community issues
